As I was browsing around for articles on tonights Bengals/Ravens game I ran across this article and this quote.

I had the pleasure of meeting the late Floyd Patterson;a true sportsman in every sense of the word and a well respected citizen who used every bit of his celebrity for the benefit of others. Not all boxers are ear biting rapists!
Aside from any ear biting or rape, it makes no sense whatsoever to place yourself in a position that might very well land you in the hospital or possibly even a morgue. No boxer starts out by making the big bucks, they all start out getting their heads bashed in by boxers who are better than they are. Why? That is my question.
