I am reading through the USMS site, and having a hard time deciding what to do about registering. Is it better to register as FACT or with your club? What are the advantages/disadvantages? I was thinking I'd register with FACT, but would that mean my club team couldn't get points for my swims? Hows does this work?
Also - all I do is fill out the form, and send it do the registrar? Does the process take a long time?

If you register with FACT instead of your local club, then You would need to compete as a member of FACT. So you would not be able to swim on club relays and any points would be scored for FACT.
