The other day when I read the thread of FREESTYLE STROKE I found many technique terms of swimming, like catch water, anchor your hand, etc. Or shall I say a lot of swimming physics or principles?
Could someone recommend some onlie free articles about this swimming physics? I am a new swimmer.

The basic concepts are very simple. The way it should be.
Don't try to think too hard about it. Swimmers learn to feel the water after the basics are mastered.
I found an interesting link to a university that discusses "the Biomechanics of Human Motion". Alot of it has to do with swimming, especially Chapter 6. It's very scientific, if that's what you're looking for.

Unfortunately the first link cannot be connected from my city. I was a little annoyed since I had seen several people referring to this website.which I could not connect every time I try. It has nothing to do with politics, does it? I cannot understand why it is restricted.
Yes, quicksilver, the basic concepts, that is what I am looking for. I saw people talking about grip water, s pull, etc. I want to know why I should grip water, why I should do s pull, what is the scientific or physics support behind these techniques.

Very interesting, George. I thought about this question when I read the FREESTYLE STROKE in which the meaning of EFFORTLESS was examined. But I did my thoughts from another approach, not as precise (using the equations) as this one. But the general conclusion was pretty much the same.
