I read in the Foxsports.com.au website that Ian Thorpe has been training with Milt Nelms for the last two months at various pools in the LA area.
From what I gathered Nelms is supposed to have an unorthodox way of viewing swimming. I have seen his stuff on some Richard Quick videos but they are limited to a few segments, pretty informative though.
What does anyone know of Nelms and do you think he can/will benefit Thorpe as he prepares for the next two years.
Oh, does anyone know where to look to find information to read more about Nelms? I have googled his name but I haven't found much.
Thanks,
John

Milt Nelms is one of many famous Swimming Consultants. As Jeff said he is metioned in the book "Golden Girl" and according to the book made some suggestions to improve Natalie's stroke. He has done work with Bill Boomer and contributed to the "Boomer Chronicle" video series that was out back in 1993. Besides Bill Boomer he has done work with Alex Nikitin, who is the head age group coach of the Multnomah Athletic Cub and founder of Parametic Research. Here are some links to his background.
