With over 1,000 entrants in the 800 free I'm curious if there's been any decision how that event will be seeded. With 20 swimmers going at a time that's still 50 heats per pool. With an average heat time of 15 minutes that's 750 minutes or 12.5 hours. The average time will probably be a little less than that, but still it's going to be a long day!
The women will swim one to a lane in one pool and the men will swim one to a lane in the other pool. You are right about the time that is needed, however, it is a deck seeded meet so we expect about a 10% no show. It will be a long day.
