Parking at World's 12.00 a day?

Someone just posted this on the forum From the Stanford parking website: "One-day "Visitor" scratcher permits (which allow parking in Pay & Display lots and at meters), available for $12 each at the P&TS office (open weekdays 7:30 a.m. -5 p.m.)." So, unless the LOC has made special arrangements you can plan on $12/day for parking, and hope that space is available once you pay for the parking pass. You've got to be kidding me..... If it's 12.00 dollars a day that is so unfair..... I don't think I'll be able to afford going to the pool except on competition days. I think my motel is 2 miles away..... Looks like I'm walking....... I love getting taken advantage of. - Note: I remember now.... Orginally I had called the college and was told it was free...... I'm going back to my notes.... This is so unacceptable........

I agree with Rick. This is the World Championship for Masters. Lets put the cost of parking in perspective. I cant see this as a major cost. I am in Tokyo. Here it costs more to park a car than my house rent back in the US. Imagine if you had to fly from Tokyo, get a hotel, rent a car, buy food everyday. The cost of parking is nothing. But I will pay this huge costs happily and am looking for forward to competing and meeting my US competitors! See you at Stanford! Andrew
