Someone just posted this on the forum
From the Stanford parking website:
"One-day "Visitor" scratcher permits (which allow parking in Pay & Display lots and at meters), available for $12 each at the P&TS office (open weekdays 7:30 a.m. -5 p.m.)."
So, unless the LOC has made special arrangements you can plan on $12/day for parking, and hope that space is available once you pay for the parking pass.
You've got to be kidding me..... If it's 12.00 dollars a day that is so unfair..... I don't think I'll be able to afford going to the pool except on competition days. I think my motel is 2 miles away..... Looks like I'm walking.......
I love getting taken advantage of.
- Note: I remember now.... Orginally I had called the college and was told it was free...... I'm going back to my notes.... This is so unacceptable........
Spending this much money on a swim meet can be hard. I can understand why she is a little dismayed at the cost. Not everyone can sink money into the cost of going to worlds, yet I can see why it is attractive to go this year as it will be cheaper this year since it is in the states.
I think posters have been a little to hard on the first poster. Hopefully people can give ideas on where to park and how to keep the costs down. California certainly is not cheap to visit!
