Parking at World's 12.00 a day?

Someone just posted this on the forum From the Stanford parking website: "One-day "Visitor" scratcher permits (which allow parking in Pay & Display lots and at meters), available for $12 each at the P&TS office (open weekdays 7:30 a.m. -5 p.m.)." So, unless the LOC has made special arrangements you can plan on $12/day for parking, and hope that space is available once you pay for the parking pass. You've got to be kidding me..... If it's 12.00 dollars a day that is so unfair..... I don't think I'll be able to afford going to the pool except on competition days. I think my motel is 2 miles away..... Looks like I'm walking....... I love getting taken advantage of. - Note: I remember now.... Orginally I had called the college and was told it was free...... I'm going back to my notes.... This is so unacceptable........

  • Officially, no one has said what parking will cost at Worlds. The $12 a day is speculation. The FINA e-letter that has been coming out described it as "a nominal charge." I'll wait and figure out my options once we know for sure what a nominal charge is. A thought... I need to be at the pool for six days of competition. IF parking is $12 a day that would be $72. Perhaps I could get a monthly pass for less.
