Parking at World's 12.00 a day?

Someone just posted this on the forum From the Stanford parking website: "One-day "Visitor" scratcher permits (which allow parking in Pay & Display lots and at meters), available for $12 each at the P&TS office (open weekdays 7:30 a.m. -5 p.m.)." So, unless the LOC has made special arrangements you can plan on $12/day for parking, and hope that space is available once you pay for the parking pass. You've got to be kidding me..... If it's 12.00 dollars a day that is so unfair..... I don't think I'll be able to afford going to the pool except on competition days. I think my motel is 2 miles away..... Looks like I'm walking....... I love getting taken advantage of. - Note: I remember now.... Orginally I had called the college and was told it was free...... I'm going back to my notes.... This is so unacceptable........

Trying to find solutions? Sure doesn't appear that way to this reader. Your many threads on this one topic appear rather to be an inordinate amount of whining, kvetching, complaining and "woe is me." I can understand being on a budget and maybe you don't travel much so this comes as a shock. But I don't think it's really all that unexpected to anyone who has ever been to big meets or other events in urban settings. So feel free to inquire about public transportation options, feel free to walk, and a "gee, I'm disappointed I didn't know this earlier" is ok too . . . but imho you've gone a bit over the top on the subject, blowing it up a tad out of proportion. tooth
