I really hate it when I am relaxing in the hot tub (located in the change room) and a bunch of naked dudes jump in. Seriously, is there some primal need that requires men to hit the hot tub naked? I just don't get it...
Masters swimmers who would rather grind yardage than do quality speed (i.e. every Masters program I've ever trained with and why I self-train now).

I wish I could self train but I have a double challenge:
1) Limited pool time to train in (the hours I can work out, lane time is severely limited)
2) A near crippling inability to self-motivate past the first 30 minutes or so.
Totally with you on #3,4 and 5 ... but, really, wasn't chlorine invented for #1 and #2?. The chlorine is invented for bio-material that the shower doesn't remove and to protect others against "accidents".
The cologne/perfume wearers are a pet peeve of mine; especially when the hottub heat strengthens the odor and it gives me a splitting headache even 75 feet away. I don't think chlorine does anything at all for it.
For a cool-down effect, take a cold shower before getting in the pool. When sweat etc combines with chlorine it forms the nasty stuff that burns eyes and throats.
Swim coaches may tend to tell kids to get straight into the pool as some will hide out in the showers to goof off during their limited available lane time. Kids in that level number a fairly small subset of the total population of pool users. Not that I agree, but I understand that rationale.

Exactly what I do if I see a pretty young thing. I might ad a pretty young thing to me could be anyone under 60 years old.
Swimming in a new pool, thinking that it must be a 25m pool because your 100's are 5 seconds slower...only to find that, no, it is in fact a 25yd pool and you've just gotten slower. :badday:
