When kids wade across lap lanes. Twice now I've been in the middle of a timed sprint and have just about collided with one of the little boogers. I look up to the lifeguard with a confused and agitated look and THEN they might blow the whistle. Never before the collision.
I've had the beach ball come into the lane with the kids trying to chase it...the one time I got to the ball first and hit it the opposite way from the kids over across the pool deck...it didn't come in the lap lane anymore. :)
