Dec. 24th: I am envious of all those folks posting about their Christmas Eve workout. The rest of my family went to the ballet today. I had most of the day to myself. I thought, "what would I really like to do?... Swim of course!" The University pool is closed so I checked out the community center on the web. It said that they were open today. I grabbed my swim bag and headed over there, getting there at ~11:57, only to find out they they were closing at noon. Grrrrrrr. So I fought the traffic and did a little extra Christmas shopping for my family, then I went home, did some drylands in the basement and browsed these forums. That's a lousy substitute for swimming. The good news is that my wife tells me the hotel where will be staying for our mini vacation next week has a pool. It's probably tiny, but at least I can float around, play with my daughter and do some SDKs.
