I can't stand that so many kids don't learn lane etiquette. It's not soccer. It's swimming...
How about this? The age group practice at our pool is supposed to end at 8:30 so the Masters team can swim from 8:30 to 9:30. They never seem to end on time! I blame their coaches. No wonder there is such a short supply of etiquette, the coaches model inappropriate behavior. Either start your practices earlier, or shorten them to end on time. I didn't get into the pool until 8:40 last night. We old people need our sleep. It's not like I can go home and go right to bed. It takes me an hour to settle down. There. I feel better now (not really).
