  • My in-laws are entertaining the idea of getting a Sun City place in FL. From their description, that place sounds like the bomb. 400 square miles, something like 10 fishing clubs, 25 softball teams, 30 dancing clubs, bocce ball out the wazoo (go figure- everyone is from Jersey or NY). I could live there, but I'd probably lose my job with all of the recreational opportunities. By the sounds of it, that is NOT a Sun City. It sounds like The Villages which is HUGE! There are around 100,000 people living there and it's a city. None of the Sun City's are that big! Ours currently has about 370 homes sold and will grow to a max of under 3400. And, regarding the other post, no, most of this crowd does NOT eat dinner at 3PM! The average age is about 60; baby boomers who DO like to party! :D
