  • A minor rant of sorts: I was the only one in the pool today as I started my workout. About 10 minutes into it I started getting dizzy, stopped, took out my ear plugs and noticed there was a pressure washer running in the pool area. A maintenance guy was pressure washing the bathrooms and locker rooms. But he was safe from the fumes because the hose was fed under the closed door to the bathrooms while the pump was on the other side fumagating the pool enclosure with carbon monoxide and NOx. I asked how long he will be, and he said "all day" (paid by the hour including smoke breaks). I may have been a little rude to the guy but I could have passed out or something alone in the pool. So I go to another pool thinking it's better I should drive the extra 20 minutes and use the blocks to practice my underdeveloped starts. There was a class, swimming lessons, and whatever going on but I got a free lane to myself:). So on the 3rd dive my goggles rolled down my face slicing a gash on the bridge of my nose. It will leave a scar. The worse part was the embarrassment of walking to the locker room with blood all over my face. Wow Steve! It just wasn't your day. I hope tomorrow is much better! :cheerleader:
