  • That's the way it is here also, six divisions, 5 or 6 teams per division. Most teams are 100-200 kids. We have the same age group plus the shrimps. There is also the Y summer league and the country club league also, with similar numbers. 50s start at 11-12, IMs start at 9-10 but only for 3 swimmers per sex/age group. We run late May - early July, one or two meets a week during June. Compact and time consuming but Summer League is a blast. It pretty much ends up being a competition between the teams that have the most year rounders. No year round gear is allowed to be worn at any times, which I do think is fair to all the kids.
