  • re: tech suits at summer league meets I can certainly recall seeing a few tech suits here and there at some of the kiddo summer meets I've attended over the years. I remember some of the fast gals on my team busting out the aquablades at some point after they first came out back when I was swimming. I always had my team speedo suit, which was used 6-8 times a year (5 duals, maybe a b-meet or two doing breaststroke for sheets and goggles, plus divisionals), and then put into sub-swimtrunk support duty. As I began coaching, the Jammers came into popularity. I was/am not a fan. Almost all the boys wear them now. I remember my mom begging for suits with more coverage when I was younger, but these Jammers are just covering more skin - they're still "form-revealing." Oh well. At the meet this weekend, I used my old FS1 for my 400free, and my nearly-seethru-aquablade speedo the rest. I actually felt better with the speedo than the FS1. Come to think of it, I've had 4 PBs this summer wearing a brief-style suit (800, 1500, 100br 400im).
