What is the difference between the USMS and USA Swimming and FINA?
USMS stands for United States Masters Swimming and is for age groups over 19. USA Swimming is the governing body for age group (younger age groups) and open swimming. USA Swimming includes youngsters under six, Olympians, masters swimmers (if they so desire), and American Olympic Swimmers. FINA is the international governing body.
