The druggies are back

I just fininshed a class for my my nonprofit management certificate at UIChicago. One of the assignments was to discuss how the organizations we work for use their core values to promote the strategic plan developed. One woman works for a sports organization. With in their strategic plan, they state that the very nature of sports forces cooperation and fairness. She wrote how that promotes good behavior and that through athletic competition, individuals get to understand the importance of fair-play. I responded that while that might be true for some, sports by thier very nature also promotes cheating. For the week I didnt get a grade. I think the prof wa really mad at me. I still got an "A."
