Where to train in Boston MA?

More information about more swimming pools in more places than on any other resource! This seems to be a great resource for pool listings in the U.S.

Boston is in the New England LMSC. www.swimnem.org I don't know the schedule for other teams, but Cambridge Masters swims out of Harvard's pool. It's about a 10 minute stroll from the Harvard Square T stop. I believe the drop in fee is $10 for USMS members. You can check in the NEM web site for more information: www.swimnem.org. Around the Boston area you also have the MIT master, YMCA Central Branch, BU, etc. Most of them had practice on weekends. Igor

We (LANES) normally have practice on the weekends but w/ PRIDE happening on Sat we will only have practice on Sunday @ Northeastern.

I will be in Boston for a convention the week of July 10. It looks like the Central Y is not too far from the Convention Center area and has lap swimming throughout the day. Are there any other reasonable choices to swim while I'm in Boston? I don't need a coached workout - just a place to swim. I don't have a car but will happily take a short cab ride. I looked this up using "places to swim" above....

Check out MIT's pool. Its open to visitors for a fee(don't remember how much) and is a great facility.

Do you know how close the MIT pool is relative to the Boston Convention Center?
