Where do old swimmers go

After watching Shane Gould & Dawn Fraser (not as partners by the way) on "Dancing with the stars we are now being tortured in Australia with former swim stars doing "Singing with the stars".See site below.Tell me do these shows come from the USA .??...Do they have ex sports stars doing these shows in the states ??? www.swimming.org.au/.../Whats New.aspx Ex swimmers have big shoulders and you just can't hide em.... Check the stance....still ready for the start of the 100m Free. She looks pretty good though and can sing a bit....

I'm afraid so.....check out Summer Sanders on Skating with the Stars.....I think she was just hosting.....but she may have been pregnant at the time (in which case I HOPE she didn't skate!) www.fox.com/.../five_group.htm But...what are you SUPPOSED to do after your short career in swimming is over....I mean, other than join Masters swimming? I guess you can only donate your likeness to so many boxes of breakfast cereal then you have to explore other avenues...

Although not a star I raced til 39 yrs of age and found lots to do other than swimming, there is life after swimming.
