Hey, when you run, you stretch, warm up, stretch, jog, slow run...etc.
What do you folks do when you swim to warm up? or do you? or just slow swim to warm up?? Not that I'm proficient enough yet to worry bout it, but I thought about it when I was stretching to run this morning.
Thanks,

My coach has a very standard warmup sequence for me:
300 free
100 kick
200 pull w/buoy
100 stroke drill
Then on most days I do 4x50 on 1:30 swum as accelerations on the 1st 25, 2nd 25 is easy. The accelerations are swum from slow to near sprint speed which gets the body fully prepared to swim faster for the main sets. That is above standard for most coaches.
