Music to Relax

I was wondering if anyone out there listens to music during a meet to take the pressure off before a big race. You sometimes see Michael Phelps with the headphones on before his races. Dirk Nowitzki hums the tune "Looking for Freedom" by David Hasselhoff to relax to and he says it takes the pressure off when he has to shoot free throws during a tight game and he has been doing this since 1989, and this has been part of his success. What do people think about this?

  • I liked the "eclectic" mix of music they were playing during morning warmup at the Coral Springs Nationals....I haven't heard "Let's Get Together" (and love one another) from the Youngbloods in AGES...also "I Put a Spell on You" (Ray Charles version, I think....although I like Nina Simone's better)....I THINK I even heard the Spam song from Montie Python.... I don't know that the music makes me relax...but I always want to dance and sing to it...although SOME PEOPLE make fun of me when I do so.... Sally:D
