OK, OK, so this isn't really a swimming topic... ...sorry... ...did anyone who watched American Idol last night notice David Hasselhoff in the audience toward the end of the show, with tears in his eyes, looking strangely like Sophia Loren? (Was it just my imagination?) ...aw ::SNAP:: they just showed it on the Today Show. (haha laugh-laugh)
  • Nip/Tuck is gooood. By far the best show on TV, bar none, is Entourage on HBO. Anything on HBO is pretty good.

The TiVo Elite should show some acceptance of those with ordinary DVRs or VCRs.

I'm not an Idol fan, but some friends and I used the finale as an excuse to get together and have a few laughs. We've done the same thing for other shows like Survivor and America's Next Top Model. Survivor's pretty amusing when they get to the swimming challenges. It seems like a lot of Masters swimmers I know are addicted to at least one reality TV / game show. Which ones do you watch?

Clay is a bizarre looking dude, no doubt. He does seem to be a very genuinely nice person so it's hard to knock him. I watch a bit of Survivor and a bit of Idol, both primarily because my wife enjoys them. If the programming were up to me we would be watching something on History Channel, Discovery/Discovery Health, or University of Washington Medical School Seminars. I forgot to mention Nip/Tuck on Fox...one of my guilty pleasures.

I thought for sure that I would be excommunicated for mentioning Nip/Tuck on here. It seems like such a trendy far fetched program but somehow it is so addictive and appealing to me. As for HBO, we just cancelled ours since we watched about 4 hours of programming over the course of a year.

Most of the time I watch programs that teach me something I can use. However, sometimes I find myself drifting over to VH1 and MTV to watch Yo Momma, Next, Super Sweet Sixteen, or Surreal Life. And then there was Flavor of Love. (wow). I still can't believe Pumkin and New York! (wow). I guess we all have our guilty pleasures! :)

How could anyone have watched the final hour of borefest American Idol when the season finale of Lost was on? originally posted by Kirk Nelson Actually I was thinking how anyone could watch either A. Idol or the season finale of Lost while game 1 of the western conference finals between the Mavs and the Suns was on.....it was an excellent game by the way!

Unfortunately, my roommate left with the TV, so I didn't get to watch anything!
