Hey all! I'm pretty new to swimming, and I just purchased a pair of goggles that don't fit very well. I have a rather large nose and close-together eyes, so i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

I also have a fairly large nose with eyes close together. The goggles that fit me best are the Swedish goggles (or TYR Socket Rockets w/rubber around the edges of the eye piece) and Nike Remora II. The trick to the Swedish goggles is to adjust them so that the eye pieces rest in the eye socket. For instance when you try them on, put them into your eye socket so they just suck right to your face. That is how you want them to fit when you are wearing them. I thought water would get in for sure at that position, but they are the best.

A number of goggles have adjustable nose bridges. Go to your local swim shop and see if you can try on a few pairs. Maybe try Swedish goggles.

Instead of using the string and small plastic tube as a nose bridge for the goggles, cut a piece of the rubber head strap band and use it for the nose bridge--it's adjustable and won't leave you with a "bridge dent" at the top of the nose.

Every time I have tried to use the piece of rubber strap the goggles have leaked on me.
