It looks like I'll be in Long Beach (near the airport) for a few days next month. Does anyone have any suggestions on places to swim? I know the Belmont Plaza pool is pretty close and appears to have lap swim times in the a.m. Has anyone used this pool? How about organized masters workouts? That's what I'd really prefer. Any good programs in the area that allow drop-in swimmers? I think I'll have a rental car, so anything in south L.A. or north Orange County might be doable.

There's an active group in Long Beach called the Long Beach Grunions. They were the ones who hosted the SCM zones recently. LBG is primarily a gay/gay friendly group, but they don't seem to be heterophobic. Here's their web address:
