I can only guess that "It's a Slow Show" just wanted to see what kind of reaction he or she could get - perhaps to become the most controversial post?!?
Sorry "It's a Slow Show", but I think you are alone on your island. Swimmers are notorious for their friendly/fun attitude and willingness to help each other.
