Hey everybody. I'm new to this forum. I live in Canada and am a 16 year old boy. I have not before been on a team or in a club and have not "trained seriously".
A few months ago (about 8 or 10 months ago) I started swimming breaststroke and have started thinking of starting to swim seriously. I've heard people say that it is not too late.
Currently I swim about 20 - 21 seconds for 25M breaststroke, but I know some people who can swim much faster ( 15 - 16 seconds for the same distance). I'm wondering how can I improve my breaststroke to that speed?
First, I don't know if my technique is right. I've taken 3 videos of myself, and here they are:

Can someone tell me if I'm doing it correctly?
Second of all, if my technique is okay, then what else should I do to improve it? Do I swim short sets, do strength exercises, or both? Is it then merely a matter of training intensity and practice if my technique is right (which is probably not right)?
Thanks for all your help.
Type in"breaststroke sprinting" in Search this Forum and it will give you lots of threads with useful info. Re; your stroke, your timing looks pretty good but it looks like you are going too deep when you put your head down after your breathe. I can't see your hands or feet in the video so I can't comment more. Maybe a video from the front and back would show more,or even better, underwater shots.
