I have been using a sportcount 56 stopwatch to measure and record my interval times. I really liked it, because I could hit the "stop" button, it would count my recovery interval, then I could hit "start" for the next interval and it would record only my interval times, yet I could view my rest times while I was in the pool.
My sportcount died, and they have taken the interval option out of the new version of sportcount 56. They say people couldn't figure it out (!). Anyway, I don't have a way of timing and recording my intervals without it. How do other people do it? Do you watch the pace clock and write the times down? I find that my paper gets wet and illegible, and I'm mucking with that instead of getting my rest and next interval started.
Is there another stopwatch out there that functions the way my first sportcount did and is also water resistent/proof? I liked the "on the finger" convenience, but I'm willing to go to a beside the pool option if that is what I have to do.
Please tell me how you record your interval times and what gadgets work for you.
Thanks!!
