I understand there was some friction between the co-head coaches and that she had planned on leaving since earlier in the spring. At least that was the rumor. Who knows what really happened.
Hey, how unusual is that at a major Div. I program? Especially when Coach Sterkel is a storied alum of the program, and was The head coach all by herself for a season. Seems to me the surprise is not that this arrangement has been change, but rather that it lasted as long as it has.
I agree. I always thought that it was strange to have two head coaches. Especially with Sterkel's connections to the program and her history. It should be interesting to see what happens.
