Friends,
I've been trying to register for Southcentral Zone Championships. This year you have to register online at http://www.splashcentral.com. At least I think you do. I'm a bit confused this year. Can I just mail it in like I normally do, with a check and copy of my USMS card?
It requires a username and password to register for the meet, but I cannot discover from the site how I obtain a username and password. Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Out of curiosity, why is the deadline for Zone entries two weeks before the meet?
Thanks all.
Thank you very much! Yes, I mailed my registration form in today. I think that will suffice.
I am not sure if that link enables me to get a username and password or not. I tried it and someone will apparently contact me from splashcentral.
Regarding the ten days, I am sure it is a considerable logisitical feat to put on a meet the size of SC Zones. However, I wonder if setting the deadline that far out keeps a lot of swimmers from entering at all, simply because they can't plan a weekend out of town in advance.
In addition, is that deadline really needed for LC Zones, a meet that draws far fewer swimmers?
