what would be your dream pool? here is some of my requirements: The bottom of every other lane would be mirrored to watch technique/nudity. There would be music. There would be enough speakers around the pool/ underwater as to hear music well. The music would be EQ'd for under water i.e. max treble. and bass that shakes the water At night the pool lights could be different colors... and more... www.theraceclub.net/.../viewtopic.php

I swim in my ideal pool every day. Our YMCA built a new eight lane 25 yard outdoor pool last year (it's covered with a bubble in the winter). It's five minutes from my house (and five minutes from work). The pool has a great gutter system and large wave eater type lane lines. The temperature is maintained at 82 degrees (the indoor pool is kept warmer for water aerobics, swim lessons for babies, etc.). We have coached workouts with the Masters team or the age groupers six days a week. I have a reliable training partner who constantly challenges me, and I usually have my own lane. And when we swim with the age groupers, I can see my daughter a few lanes over. The only thing missing is electronic timing, which we hope to add in the next six months. Well, Inge de Bruin would be a nice addition, too.
