What is your average golf score? Has your golf score improved over the years? Worsened? What do you attribute to the lower score? The higher score?

I'm a 12 handicap at my home course. All of my improvement came in the first five years that I played. My usual scores are between 78-88 per round. not too good but can hold my own.
  • I haven't launched a golf cart onto another since 2003, so I think I'm getting better.:D
  • Originally posted by MichiganHusker I meant your swimming golf score. :o I'm sure many if not most people aren't familiar with this. The idea is to add your time in seconds to the number of strokes you take, correct? I'm usually in the mid 50s (short course yards). I always thought the whole idea behind this was dubious. In golf the point of the game is to take the fewest number of strokes. In swimming the goal is to swim as fast as possible. The number of strokes you take is immaterial. Yeah, I know the idea is to make your stroke as long and efficient as possible, but adding the two numbers doesn't make sense. For example, you can achieve a 55 by swimming 20 total strokes and a time of 35, or you could take 30 strokes and swim 25 seconds. These are both a score of 55, but the 25 second 50 is the only one that matters when it comes down to it.

I only golf when I'm forced to do so. I have two brothers-in-law who have incredibly lowhandicapps. they hate it when we've planned a family outing. All of my sisters think that it is so cool that we get along so well. They don't hear Crawford, one of my brothers-in-law who at one time had a 2 handicap, screaming at me.
