Swimming in the rain

I love the pool where I swim as it is an outdoor pool, I just don´t get use to the indoor pools smell, chlorine scent is OK for me but there is something in the enviroment with indoor pools that causes me a little headache if I stay too long. So that is why since many years I have swim down the rain in several occasions, not that I prefer it but I just do not want to stop my week programs, spetially when there is a coming competition, sometimes I have felt unconfortable because a bit of fear for my security when there are thunders and that used to be all. But last night during practice it was different, there were lots of rays and thunders, and for the first time ever I decided to leave the pool and I was the last one as many other swimmer leave it earlier. If any of you are used to swim when raining, can you tell at what point do you get out of the water for security reasons? Do you have any experience that you want to share? Is it possible to get a ray when swimming in a pool? Alex:)

You should never swim when there is a lightning storm. Here in Pasadena, where such storms are not too frequent, the pool closes whenever there is lightning and will not open for at least an hour after the last bolt.
