XI FINA World Masters Championships - Stanford, CA

The XI FINA World Championships will be at Stanford University August 4 through August 10th with the Open Water Championships at Crown Point, Alameda, San Francisco Bay on August 11th. You can get a meet book on line by going to www.2006finamasters.org/ We are taking paper entries. There will be on-line entrys available soon. You will be able to log on to the web site to enter. You will also be able to change your times on-line. Swimmers are encouraged to make their lodging reservations soon. The organizing committee has blocked 26,000 room nights in hotels on the peninsula. As of February 6th, almost 25% of the rooms have been reserved by athletes. Most of the rooms in Palo Alto have been reserved, but there are great values for hotels in Santa Clara and San Mateo. Airfare If you are planning airfare for a group of 10 or more traveling together, please contact Shannon Sullivan mailto:shannon@2006finamasters.org . Shannon will be out of town and not responding to email until February 15. Information about discounts in airfare and cars is in the Meet book. Hotel If you need to reserve a block of 20 or more hotel rooms, please contact RJ Robinson - email address is on the web site. The Organizing Committee is working very hard to create a venue for the athletes to be able to swim well as well as relax with other swimmer from around the world.
