I just got Total immersion book yesterday. Have read part 1 of the book and just started doing the drills today. It seems an excallent way to swim and definatly will improve my f/s. But i'm a bit weary because it's so comercail. so my question is, Is Total immersion as good a way to swim as it makes out? or is it the best way to learn how to swim? Are there better books out there that teach you how to swim well(properly)? Hope that makes sense Swifty

Coral Springs just a tad to soon, I am not complaining just out of the hospital re the new knee. It takes me about six weeks of swimming before I can work a little hard then six weeks to hone my speed. I will not be able to get into the water til the scar is completely healed, it still has a spot that is not quite sealed. But will be ready for the 50 by my birthday. Just a note the pic from 56 I was in the breathe slightly forward mode, it was believed that we could apply more power to catch the bow wave and then get over the bow wave and start to swim downhill.
