I am wanting to go to a swim camp this summer, I live in Utah but am planning on going out of state ( since there's only like U of U and BYU camps here) What is the best swim camp to go to? What about Stanford? pros cons
A woman on my team--Laura Winslow--went to the US Olympic Training camp last year (or maybe the year before) when USMS had it for a week. She really RAVED about it, nothing but good to say.
Usually around this time of year you'll see an article in the USMS magazine, with information on how to apply. If you are interested, you may want to contact one of the officers directly and see if they are still doing it this year. Maybe someone on here knows???
Mark:
Thanks for the information on this. I have had some swimmers inquire about the camp and knew that it usually takes place the first part of February. That's to bad because from my understanding there are not many facilities that have the equipment that Colorado Springs has. The universitys that have some of this equipment are usually really busy at that time of year because they are using the equipment for there own swimmers.

The US Olympic Training Center is not available to USMS for camps any more. Nancy Ridout, the leader of our camp program, is working on moving the camp to a new location - perhaps a university with proper testing facilities. Hopefully, we will have something to offer soon.

There is a website that has a World listing of Swim Camps at www.swim-camps.com that might be useful. I received a booklet last year and they have all different camps. Hope this helps.
There was a woman at Nationals in Indy promoting a "Fantasy Camp" for masters swimmers in November. I've lost the contact info. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and have contact info?
