I wanted to get some opinions on this...What do you guys think is better for "days off" between swim practice...swimming or dryland? We don't have practice tonight, but the local pool has lap swim hours, so I'm debating whether I should go and do some drill work (or some actual swimming) or whether it might be better to do some running at the gym to cross train. Does cross training really help swimming performance, or would I just be wasting time I could be spending on my stroke(s)?
Got a "significant other" or spouse?
Take 'em out to dinner and maybe something will come out of it that will lead to an alternate form of "cross-training". ;)
And I thought I was serious about my swimming! :)
Umm...that's a pretty creative idea, thanks. And here I was obsessing over treadmills vs. elliptical machines. Guess I need to start thinking outside the box... :D
