Andy Schmidt trained for Mark Schubert at Mission viejo in the late 70's early 80's. one day he and jesse vassallo made 100 x 100 LCM on on 1:10
though I think this discussion began with the question
what's the fastest interval you can make 5 x 100's on
though if you're only doing 5 x 100
why not just do a 500 for time?
Ande
i'm pretty sure I can make 5 x 100 on 1:05
i might be able to make 5 on 1:03
Wow,
I just looked at the poll results. I think I'll just creep back to the slug lane and do some elementary backstroke with the ladies in the flower caps. Hey, don't splash me!
Here's a discussion thread similar on collegeswimming.com.

one guy says he saw Texas sophomore Michale Klueh do 30 x 100 on the 1:00 recently. (it's on the sixth thread)
as for women, I knew some ex-UT swimmers that went 5 x 800 LCM on the 9:00 when Schubert was the coach--4 made it (one being Janet Evans who trained with the team).

I figured you were one of them sice you started the poll.
1:30 for me right now. I need to make the move to 1:20 after the first of the year. I am going to swim my first 200 Free at a meet in February so I need to feel lots of pain in training next month or I'll feel lots of embarassment in February.

No, not me. Six months ago my training partner and I set a goal for ourselves to swim 5x200s on 2:30 and 5x100s on 1:10 before the end of the year. Earlier this month we succeeded, averaging 1:08 for the 100s. Interestingly, in May I went 5:51 in the 500 (wearing a fastskin).
