Speaking of distance swimming, a meet I am thinking of attending in March has a special event for distance lovers. The 1650 Fly. No entry fee to compete and it must be done is 45 minutes or less. Records are kept. It's hard to believe that somebody would actually subject themselves to such a thing. It seems like something that an orthopedist must have dreamed up. Or maybe the local physical therapist, who knows.
