Since the feet are not together at the start and need to make a scissors motion, are you in favor of outlawing the track start for the *** stroke and buttterfly swimmers?;)
I've seen very, very, very, very few track starts where the feet are not together. It goes against the principle of streamlining. If your feet are apart at the entry, you need to work on pointing the toes and getting the feet together.
Granted, most feet at the entry after a track start aren't parallel, but they are pretty darn close, and not illegal.
If you look underwater at some butterfly kicks and the finish of some breaststroke kicks, you'll see that the feet aren't on the same plane. As long as you kick both legs equally, there should be no cause for disqualification.
