I'm not trying to defend the actions. A VERY bad lack of judgement was made. However, without knowing the whole story I don't think we should burn the guy at the stake just yet.

I suppose we could ask Brandon Lee how he feels about fake guns. Oh yeah, he's dead.
I hate guns. Hate them. The difference is between an orange plastic gun, and a gun made to look like a real gun that was then replaced with a real gun.
Again, I don't condone the actions. It was a very stupid thing to do. It should NOT have happened. The trainor that was holding the gun should be punished. However, I still think that without knowing the facts and ALL the facts we shouldn't rush to judge him.
Shoot now ask questions later is not a healthy way of dealing with things ...
Give me a break, it's a freaking red squirt gun. I just hope these poor victims can pick up the shattered pieces of their lives (or their wet hair) and carry on without the horrific emotional scars of having a plastic red water gun pointed at them ruining the rest of their years. Just imagine the dreadful emotional damage had it been a Super Soaker.
Nighteyes I'm sorry you see this as just a bad decision/call. 'Boys will be boys' attitude is what leads some people to believe that their inappropriate behavior should be dismissed without consequences for them. It also ignores the impact of 'the joke' on the victum. There are lines that should not be crossed, even in the name of a joke, and even when both parties are 'consenting'.
