'Boys will be boys' attitude is what leads some people to believe that their inappropriate behavior should be dismissed without consequences for them. It also ignores the impact of 'the joke' on the victum. There are lines that should not be crossed, even in the name of a joke, and even when both parties are 'consenting'.
