This thread might help folks pay for some of their training fees
Here's a link that will lead you to the unclaimed property websites for each state
Your state might be holding something that belongs to you, a family member or a friend.
drop by:
http://www.unclaimed.org
then click on "Owners"
then click on "Find Property"
then click on the state you live in or lived in or the one you want to search
then do a search at the state's site
check cities you used to live in
former names, parents, grand parents and friends
you're bound to find something that belongs to someone.
The link to the Texas site is
txcpa.cpa.state.tx.us/.../Search.jsp
Today I was poking around and found thousands of dollars that belonged to several friends,
Maybe you will to
Please let us know
One final tip is:
If you ever get a notice from a business saying they've found property that belongs to you deal directly with the state and avoid paying their finders fee.

We got $1,800 from our Texas unclaimed money about 6 months ago. I have no idea where it came from, but needless to say my wife had already spent it before the check even got there.
