Does anyone get unbelievably, overpoweringly itchy after swimming? It is so bad some nights that I literally can't get to sleep!
It is worst where my skin is getting stretched or where it is touching the couch or bed or whatever, and it is pretty much restricted to my upper body...
I at least rinse off after each workout, if not take a full on shower.. Anyone else get this, or have any solutions?
Help!

Yes that Dermaswim Pro does help to keep my swim from smelling like chlorine as well as with the itching.
We put in a steam shower in a recent remodel. I didn't think I'd like it nearly as much as I do. It feels good even on a hot night, and does wonders for the itchies. You can work in whatever foofy moisterizing stuff (black rasberry vanilla? Are you guys kidding?) you want, but steam alone does the trick for me. But I can't imagine climbing into one right after a tough swim, so it may involve a trip back to the club later.
If there's a Lush store near you, they have lots of bath bomb thingies that you dissolve in a bath. I had one of those "I can't sleep because I'm so itchy" things going on last night and I put one (pink and marshmallow scented :) in the tub. Slept like a baby. (Not in the tub, of course. :)
They might have some with slightly less girly scents too.
I also think you probably need to shower not just rinse after swimming, and I agree on the 'lots of lotion' ideas.

There is a chance you're having some form of psoraisis.
This would also occur mostly in areas being stretched or being pressed on, also areas at edges of clothes, sleeve ends, waist, etc. This has first happenned to me this past summer. If so, you would need to see a dermatologist. There's a prescription cream (containing vaseline & cortisone) that seems to work pretty well if you can stand the mess.
If you are worried about taking razz from your wife for using the girly smelling lotions, just rub on some gear oil or fatback. The smells are in no way to be confused with the "vanilla-mango-supple-morning-breeze-feel-good-about-yourself-because-you-deserve-it-no-matter-the-cost" to be purchased at the local mall bath store (sometimes at extreme cost). And your skin will thank you for it.
I used to have the same problem with "regular lotion." A few weeks ago, I tried Eucerin Calming Cream, which I think is new, and designed for itchy skin. It has worked wonders! I think it's the oatmeal...maybe the other lotions with oatmeal, like Aveeno, will work well too, but I think Eucerin is great.
Mike - To stay away from the girly stuff, just try the Curel (as refered in another reply). It is one of the few lotions out there that doesn't contain mineral oil (which is actually a drying agent). I've used the Curel for years with great results (then again everyone is different so it may not work for you) but I'd still give it a try. Good Luck.
