There is no Masters Team at the Y I train at...What do you need to do to get one going? Should I just call up the AD at the Y and see if he is interested?
What are the costs/requirements to start a program? Who pays the coach, etc.?

Absolutely, YES, contact the AD. Before you do I’d suggest you read through the USMS “Building A Successful Masters Swim Club” which can be found at www.usms.org/admin/building.pdf and also contacting your Local Masters Chair Chris Mcgiffen (cmcgiff @ aol.com) and Mel Goldstein (Goldstein @ mindspring.com). Chris can let you know about swimming in the New Jersey LMSC and Mel can provide a vast wealth of knowledge about dealing with Y’s.
