Back in the day it was just a plain brief papersuit for races.
Now that I started swimming again there is a whole new breed of racing suits.
I will be swimming ***, Back, Free and IM.
I've heard the above mentioned suits are not good for *** stroke because they inhibit the kick.
I have 2 questions.....
1) What are your experiences with Jammer-Kneeskin-Bodyskin suits and what strokes go well with what suit?
2) Are racing briefs long gone?
Thanks for your input.

I am confident I have finally discovered the answer for most middle aged masters swimmers, including myself. What's more we can by them already.
Given that I swim IM, Fly, Back ,50-200m. I felt pretty sure I could relax and just buy FS2 Jammers.Yet a little voice was nagging at me saying there must be some way I can benefit from this new technology. After all Jammers are really not that different to Sluggo’s/Budgy Smugglers. It happened by accident. My Auntie sent my wife a swim suit that was too big for her and fitted my wife really well. When she tried it on I couldn’t help thinking it looked like a Japanese version of a womens traditional fastskin.Ironically when I tried it on it was quite tight but not restrictive. Here is the theory. It is no more impervious to water than any synthetic. It wont restrict my Breaststroke or Back in the medley and it will hold my soft pack together like a firm six pack(no fat ripples). It uses no excess fabric.A full body suit can hold too much water. Most gain for soft old men ,from a bodysuit, is through streamlining at the start and turns. If you are no good at starts/turns then don’t wear one as it will hold water after 75 m and slow you down. Escess fabric on the arms and lower legs is really useless for Back & *** 100m plus races. Now all I want is a womens traditional FS2 in about 2XL.
