Back in the day it was just a plain brief papersuit for races.
Now that I started swimming again there is a whole new breed of racing suits.
I will be swimming ***, Back, Free and IM.
I've heard the above mentioned suits are not good for *** stroke because they inhibit the kick.
I have 2 questions.....
1) What are your experiences with Jammer-Kneeskin-Bodyskin suits and what strokes go well with what suit?
2) Are racing briefs long gone?
Thanks for your input.

Have women been "cheating" by wearing a suit that covers their tops? Female suits provide the ladies w/ a "lift" that prior to the fastskin suits was unavailable to men.
For me, that's the main benefit of the fastskin suits: a lift. I got mine on a clearance sale and have been very satisfied w/ the results. I used to be against them, but man, the first time I swam a meet while tapered, the difference was remarkable.
Yes, I would've had a great meet no matter what. But you can see, while in the water, that water slips right off, thereby limiting drag.
Once you get the suit on a few times, it becomes a LOT easier to put on. And it sure as heck beats shaving.
No that is a tedious process.
My recommendation: go to Speedo's site, and go to the "sale" page. You'll get fabulous deals there. I personally have a full leg and torso (no arms) and a 2nd suit that is just legs. The first few swims, I couldn't STAND my suit while swimming backstroke, so I bought the legs suit. Then at Nationals, I had a medley relay right after an event, so I didn't switch suits. Since then, I'm absolutely fine w/ the suit for any event.
Buy small. The material will stretch.
