Please clue me in, but I just read that a 16 year old swimmer (Katie Hoff) turned pro and will forfeit her college eligibility. Now does that mean she can't compete in future Olympics? Swimming isn't golf, with a lot of money to be won in tournaments, etc. Are there swimming events where you can compete for cash?

NCAA athletes cannot make money from endorsements. It won't impact Olympic eligibility.
