I review products for the Outdoors section of the Los Angeles Times and am seeking input from experienced swimmers on these four products: TYR Mentor Hand Paddle Strokemaster Paddles Speedo Aqua Fitness Gloves Fulcrum Paddles I have already heard from three sellers of these products, for example, that the Mentors have a tendency to crack after only a few months' use. Again, if you have experience with any of these products, please pass it along.

I use Hans Paddles (not on your list.) They're pretty inexpensive ($6.95 or so at Kiefer.com, for example.) I just had to buy a replacement set after having mine for about 8 years. I had to replace them because I accidentally left them at the pool and someone else "helped" me put them away. :( If anything is going to wear out in Hans Paddles, it's the surgical tubing that you slip your finger into. Mine were close to breaking when I lost them. I'd bet I wouldn't have had to pay more than a buck to replace that.
